Epoxy Resin Thiol Curing Agent

1、Thioester

Our experiments showed that thioester-based epoxies cured differently than those with thiol, leading to addressing challenges in the curing process. We also analyzed thermomechanical properties by varying the ratios of curing agents and fillers.

2、POLYTHIOL™ QE

POLYTHIOL™ QE-340M is a thiol-terminated reactive polyether liquid polymer used as a liquid curing agent for epoxy resins with unique rapid-cure characteristics. QE-340M offers excellent properties in curing of epoxy resin in combination with amines or polyamines.

3、Latent curing of epoxy

The curing of epoxy resins by thiols proceeds through a click reaction which allows quantitative yield of the epoxy-thiol thermoset. Although the reaction can take place at elevated temperatures without requiring any catalyst, lower curing temperatures can be achieved by using base catalysts.

4、Rational design of a room

In this study, we introduce a rational design strategy for high-strength, high-adhesion coatings by the room-temperature photoanionic curing of epoxy resins with a thiol cross-linker without void concern, making use of a PBG that can generate a superbase without decarboxylation (Scheme 1).

Hyperbranched Thiol

To address this, we designed and synthesized a series of thiol-terminated branched polyurethanes with varying molecular weights to act as curing agents for epoxy resins.

Thiols can be combined with other curing agents such as amines, acid anhydrides and phenols. It is suitable for low temperature epoxy resin curing systems in combination with base catalysts.

Heat Resistance Improvement

It can be used for UV curing resin raw materials, insulating varnishes, and PVC stabilizers. It gives excellent properties such as heat resistance, plasticity, adhesion, hardness, and gloss.

LATENT CURING AGENTS AND ACCELERATORS FOR EPOXY RESIN AJICURE

Ajicure PN-23J is the fastest curing agent of all Ajicures. However Ajicure PN-23J is so fine particle that its pot life formulated with epoxy resins is relatively short.

Epoxy curing in mild and eco

However, the use of thiol as curing agent for epoxy resin in mild conditions without catalyst, accelerator or thiol from biomass was not reported in literature.
